Right now, I am excited to actually be starting my quest. As sort of a warm up for this, I have already started reading at every possible moment. I feel that this will have an effect on how I do over the next 30 days. I figure if I can get back into the swing of things, maybe it'll be easier.
Other than feeling excited about it, I really don't feel all that different from any other day. I guess I'm a little hesitant about posting a blog because I've never really done one before. That's not a big deal because, hey look, I'm blogging right now!

Two years ago I started something similar and I must say I am glad I have stuck with it. However, this past year, I have slacked off a bit. I started with the goal of reading 52 books a year / a book a week. Slightly insane, I know, but it was well worth the effort. I did fine the first year but the second year I believe I only made it to 31 (new and much more hectic career). This year I am hoping to blow 52 right out of the water. My recent book choices have made it a greater challenge (Hugo's "Les Miserables" is 1400 pages and "About Me", Bill Clinton's Biography, is almost 1,000). I applaud you for your attitude and wish you the best over the next 30 days. If you run short on book ideas I have many a book to suggest.
